Now, before you make a decision, you should know that there's a new model, called the AirTurn Ped. The difference between the Duo and the Ped is in the size of the unit, and the feel of the switches. The Ped uses membrane switches (like a microwave), and as such kind of requires that you use hard-soled shoes to actuate effectively. This version has two foot switches that physically move (like a scissor switch) so you can use them with whatever you perform in - including bare feet. 

Anyway, these devices are a must-have when you're using your tablet as a music reader. A bluetooth footpedal enables you to flip forward and backward in your score, hands-free.
